Mobile grooming needs very little from you — but a few small things make a real difference to how the appointment runs.
Before the day
- Write down what you want. "Shorter" means different things to different people; photos are the clearest way to describe a finish.
- Tell us about anything sensitive — paws, ears, hips, a bad experience last time. This changes how your groomer approaches the appointment, and it is better known in advance than discovered mid-groom.
- Add parking and access notes to your booking. A groomer circling the block is time taken out of your appointment.
On the day
- A walk or a play session beforehand helps most dogs settle.
- Give them a chance to go to the toilet before the appointment starts.
- Ask your groomer about feeding timing for your dog rather than following a general rule — it depends on the dog and the appointment.
After
Ask how it went. What your groomer noticed about the coat, what was easy and what was not, and what they would suggest for next time is the most useful five minutes of the whole appointment — and it is what makes each visit better than the last.
